Had a fine time at Elwood this weekend with my grandson Trey. We caught pike, crappie. largemouth, bluegill and catfish. He filled his youth tag with a 26 pound tom and a 12 pound hen. He found one each day and we
were done in time on Saturday to watch the Huskers.
I just wanted to say
thanks for the fishing advice and accomodations during our stay in your
"super cabin" on September 11 and 12. We've been doing a two day trip
for about 10 years, at various locations - with varying levels of
satisfaction. When it was all said and done, the consensus is to return
next year. I think catching well over 100 fish between 4 guys in a day
and a half and have a comfortable place to stay was a pretty good
combination. I attached pictures of the 24 1/2 inch wiper and a 14 1/2
inch crappie that we caught.
I'm going to try and
come out again, either this fall or during ice fishing season - shoot
me an email when the perch and walleye start biting and I'll see what I
can do to break away.
I just wanted to take a moment to let you know we enjoyed our stay there.
We didn't quite know what to expect and we left thinking about the next
time we will be able to visit. I am so glad we found your little spot to come
visit and we will be back.
